I have gone to two flooring businesses in town.  When I ask for the AC rating, they cannot give it to me.  The first salesperson acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.  The second one at first acted like he didn't know what AC meant, so when I told him the A stood for abrasive, he said the laminate was commercial grade.  Yet, he didn't tell me an AC rating.  Could it be some laminates don't have a rating?  Should I avoid those?  The Tarkett ScenicPlus I was looking at has a 20-year warranty.  Is that enough to consider?
I also looked at Wilsonart Classic Plank 5, which is very nice, but I'm not sure it is worth the extra $2000-$2500.

AC ratings are of EU standard intead of worldwide grade. It's no wonder that some salesmen outside of EU don't know the ratings. The ratings are for the grade of wear resistance. The performance of wear resistance is a key factor of laminate flooring. You can find the details of ratings in detail at internet. Usually AC2 is suitable for home purpose and AC3 is suitable for commerical purpose. AC4 is for heavy commerical purpose.

If you are still in the market for laminate, Balterio Laminate flooring carries rating of at least AC3 on all of its product lines.  All cores (895 psi) are made in the same plant in Belgium.
