Laminate from Build Direct

I'm going to start a post here about my experience with Build Direct, When I get further along in my installation I'll start posting in the Kronotex forum. I just received my pallet of Kronotex WG in the Sacremento Pine color. Everything arrived in perfect condition along with all of mouldings. The staff at Build Direct was a great help all along the way. I was nervous at first, but all of that has passed now that I have the flooring at my house. The driver of the truck even put it in my garage for me!! I had received many samples of laminate flooring from a lot of different manufacturers, color of the floor was my first consideration, quality and locking mechanism my second, and price was the last. For what started out as a kitchen/dining room project, has now turned into a 1300 s.f. project. I'll be glad to answer questions the best I can, am also open to comments on my choice here.

What made you decide to go with Kronotex over the other Build Direct brands? How were you able to discern an objective difference in quality/longevity/etc?

Color was my first consideration, I also was after a single plank design. The lamton has a gap along the locking side after assembly, looked like it would chip when installing. The locking of the Kronotex was really one of the best that I received. The Robina that they offer was also very good, however it wasn't offered at the time in 8mm as it is now. Although the 12mm is very sturdy, it would present other problems in its thickness as far as diswasher clearance, door clearance, etc. Also the Kronotex held up better than Armstrong, Pergo, Lamton, and Quickstep (Sam's Club) to the screwdriver test I put them through for scratch resistance. I would also add that the mouldings I received were FAR better than anything else I have seen out there. I didn't know what they would look like until I received them, it was an added bonus. I'm just posting here because I didn't find anything on the web with regards to Build Direct, I was hesistant to make such a large purchase this way, so I'm just relating my experience to help others.
