I am considering the Lock'n Seal Premium Laminate Flooring from Sam's Club it is manufactured by Uniboard Surfaces. It will be used in the family room, kitchen and hallway. Has anyone used this in their home? What do you think of the quality? Is it easy to install? Is it comparable to any other make? Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, we are looking at getting the Lock n Seal laminate flooring at Sam's Club also and am wondering if you got it? If you did, how hard was it to install and how do you like it so far? Any tips or input would be great! Thanks!!!

Just installed 300 sq ft of Uniboard Lock'n Seal purchased from Sam's Club. The finished product looks great. The quality control of the boards must be very good since each and every joint is perfect.
Installation is not difficult once you get the hang of it. Read the instruction sheet carefully. The boards lock in two directions and must be lifted after inserting the end tabs to finish the lock. Go to Uniboard's web site and view their installation video. It is very good and will save tons of time on the learning curve.

Anyone have any current update on the Uniboard Lock'n Seal Premium product. What I have found so far seems to be mostly positive. I am considering buying 800 sq ft of Uniboard Lock'n Seal Premium from Sam's Club. The color is Sonoma Cherry. Sams has it on special for $1.57 a sq. ft.
Also, any information about possible matching mouldings would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find anyone that sells Uniboard mouldings.
I was looking at Pergo Vintage home, but they only make a 4 in 1 moulding that sells for $40 to $50 for 6 1/2 ft which made the install a little pricey.

I just recently installed over 300 sq ft of the Sonoma Cherry in a guest bedroom. Just like previously mentioned there is a "feel" for getting the boards to lock into place but once you get that the installation will fly! I completed 1/3 of the room on a Sunday; when I got home from work the next day I started again thinking I'd get a couple more rows completed and before I knew it I was finished!! The Lock and Seal mechanism is perfect because it does exactly that! Not once did I have to use a block of wood to bang the pieces together because once you get a row locked it pulls together and forms the seal. The only issue I had was once you get to the end of a row the beginning of the row would tend to pop out but all you had to do was go up and down the row and work it until it all locked. I would highly recommend this floor to anyone... it looks fantastic and best of all the wife is MEGA-pleased!!!

My husband and I just purchased over 800 sq. feet of Sam's Club Sonoma cherry laminate flooring. My husband completed it all by himself in about 2 days. With the exception of him not originally staggering the planks, he did a wonderful job and the rooms look beautiful! Now the only problem we are having is matching the molding. Sam's doesn't carry the Sonoma cherry molding. The only tip I have if you decide to purchase Sam's laminate flooring is watch the video! It made things so much easier for my husband. For $1.57 a sq. foot, you just can't beat it.

I also installed Sonoma Cherry. You can get Uniboard moulding that are an exact match for the Sonoma Cherry at Floorhouse.com. They carry a full line of mouldings that are from the same company that makes the Sam's Club flooring.

Can anyone tell me how many years they warranty this product and how many square feet is in a box? We installed Armstrong Swift lock in the upstairs bedrooms and hall, and it looks great. We have since heard of this product and wondered about it. I imagine having the underlayment already attached helps.
Thanks in advance, Debbie

Aloha Debbie. . . I was just checking out the maple laminate at Sam's Club today. I believe it's a 25-year limited warranty (not sure what the limited means) and roughly 17.50 sq. ft. per box. On the underlayment being already attached, does anyone know how soundproof that is? We're in a condo on the 22nd floor and would need some decent sound-proofing to avoid ticking off the folks down below. The company Web site is: http://www.uniboardsurfaces.com/

At www.samsclub.com you can buy both the flooring and molding. The flooring is more expensive than in the stores, so it is not really worth it (unless you really want someone to do all of the delivery work for you). I dod not check to see what shipping costs were. They also carry the molding specific to the flooring. The names do not match, so look up the flooring you want/have, and it will give you the part numbers for the molding. I do not know what the molding looks like (real wood vs the plasticized molding). If anyone has bought some of this, I would like to hear how it is. John

Hey I have been reading the post where the majority have been asking about where to find the lock n' seal trim pieces. Samsclub.com carries them. All you need to do is go to the website, and type in the search "sonoma cherry' or whatever color you choose and you will see the add on pieces there. They are available for delivery, and at a reasonable price.
Thanks for passing on your success stories, we were considering the same flooring.
Anyone have BIG Dogs and use the Lock n' Seal? We have a German Shepard and a Rott and have not used this brand before.

to Kcox--
we used this flooring in our "dog room" when we had three dogs: 1 45 lb male boxer, 1-65 lb female boxer and 1-120 lb female Dogo Argentino. it held up far far better than our far far more expensive brazialian cherry hardwoods. the dogroom was formerly a laundry room that housed their crates, dog door to the dog run (they tracked in pea gravel all the time), where they ate, etc. we moved after about 3 years and the floor showed absolutely NO signs of doggie wear and tear.
we just moved into our current home about two months ago and need to replace carpeting. we're down to one dog now adn we're installing this flooring again because even tho we prefer hardwood to laminate, this product is just far superior in its durability. we didnt install it the first time--but are going to this time around.
hth--
sim
ps: has anyone installed the Pacifica Maple or "bamboo" finish?
