parquet and laminate adjacent to each other

hi --
my entry hall has parquet in it, which leads to my living room. i will be replacing the carpet in my living room with laminate.
does anyone have a suggestion for dealing with the weirdness of the parquet (squares) and the laminate (rectangles) next to each other?
thanks for any info.
