I installed a whole room with the harmonics laminate and it looked so good I decided to do another room.  I then noticed from the instructions that they recommend a 7/16" spacing where the spacing bars are 1/4 plus the insulation = 3/8 inch.  Go figure I never thought to measure the spacing bars.  I did the whole room with 3/8" spacing.  Did anyone do the same thing.  Do you think there will be a future problem with expansion and buckling?

i have done a over 20 floors and never had a problem, i use a 1/4 to 3/8 spacing which give enough for expansion i also use just baseboard (3 1/2 ") the 5-12ft pro packs from home depot and it covers the gap fine without corner round.  hope this helps

I know the gap is there to help the floor move as one when it contracts and expands.

Are you suppose to leave the 7/16" expansion gap there after you finish the floor? or are you suppose to fill it in with some kind of flexible material to fill the void?
