Just wanted  to let you all know that Harmonics customer service does say that refrigerators are perfectly fine on the laminate.  In fact they said that the laminate has been tested to withstand 3000 lbs.  Incredible huh?  Still not sure about intalling in areas where there is water.  I have been paying attention for the last few months just exactly how many drips, sprays and such of water I get on my current floor on a regular basis.  I think I would be constantly looking to the floor "just in case" there would be any drops or unnoticed ice cubes that snuck out of the auto ice maker shute, and I would always have some sort of rag on the floor that I did use recently to dab up any water.  Although, I do think the price is so cheap that It might be worth it.  I think Im going to do a test on some extra waste pieces by running a bath tub with some water in it and leave them there for a  couple of days and see just exactly what happens. (I read about this from a prior post)

I have just spoke with the Harmonics customer service dept. about weight limits and they said the floor can hold the weight of a baby grand piano wich I am almost positive is not 3000 lbs so the info you recieved is incorrect
