Do you just caulk the edges? Or is it recommended to seal the joints. I'm sure that would be time consuming but if that helps prevent water damage they i would think it would be worth it.

What type of sealer?

i used a clear sealant anywhere the flooring was near an exterior door and around the edges in the cooking/washing areas of the kitchen...
