I have purchased Laminate flooring from Mannington's Revolution Collection.
The pattern is #26201 Sierra Slate - Autumn Glow ref#VN34JV570.  There are 6 slate patterns which when installed are oriented at right angle to each other. Five of the patterns look very natural.  One of the patterns however has wavey color lines  which are oriented 90 degrees to  the grain pattern of the slate.  That pattern looks anything but natural and because it is so drastically different it immediately is noticable as one looks across the floor.  We had the professional installer stop the installation as soon as we noticed it.  The store from which the flooring was purchased sent a sample to Mannington and have received a fax back stating the there is nothing wrong.  I believe that it is clearly a manufacturing flaw because is it makes no logical sense that a designer would purposely produce a floor where one pattern glares out amongst the rest.  If the product is a "second" or a "mill trial" then I am not being told.  I paid full price for one of Mannington's top of the line products.
I would appreciate any thoughts or advise from any experts in this area.
