I have a cottage with 12mm laminate floor installed. I would now like to put in a wood stove. My plan was to put down a hearth pad made of 3/4" plywood finished in tile on the top (approximate size 5' x 5'). Then I would place the wood stove on that.
The cottage is not heated during winter most of the time and tempatures do drop well below zero (32F) regularly.
Someone suggested that becuase that would "limit" my floor from floating that I could get major buckling problems with my flooring.
Any experts out there on this? I also put new kitchen cabinets and appliances in on the floor already about a week ago. Thanks
