I installed a glueless laminate floor (with underneath pad)  a little over a year ago.   Last year I heard a few "snapping noises" that eventually went away.  Now the snapping is over the entire floor (1100 SF) when it is walked on.

I can't bear it any longer.  Is there anything that can be done to fix this or do I need to tear it out and start over with something else??

Pull a piece of base off to make sure there is expansion around the perimeter of the room.

Pull a piece of baseboard or quarter rond off to make sure you have an expansion space. Could be the problem.
