There is a big area of wood laminate floor installed in someone’s room. Now he wants to disassemble it and install the planks in another room. He found that the planks are more quickly to be disassembled if he pulls the long side of one plank upward. And he wonders if it is a right way to disassemble the planks.

In fact his way is wrong. The plank he pulls is connected with other plans with locking system at both long side and short side. Part of the locking system will be destroyed with the way. And the plank will be bent and even broken with the way. So the planks can’t be installed again. In fact the people can begin to take the wood laminate floor out from the short side at the end installation area. Or he can have several people to disassemble the planks at the long side at the time. These are 2 right ways to disassemble the planks.

The right way to disassamble laminate floor is to pull up and then start folding the board. The first line might get damage but the following rows should come up easy it is better to do it in two persons esspecially if the room is long, pull the whole row and then disconnect the single boards.
