Someone has installed laminate flooring in his room recently. And he found some gaps at the joint of laminate flooring. And he wonders why. There are several possible reasons as below for the leak. And the relevant ways have been stated to deal with the problem.
1. If the laminate flooring is with normal tongue and groove at the edge, the planks, especially these laminates at the edge of floor area, are easy to get separated at the joint if the quality of glue is no good. Disassemble the planks. Install the planks again with high quality glue. Then the problem is solved.
2. If the laminate is with locking system, maybe the locking system is too loose to lock the planks tightly. The way to solve the problem is the same as the first above one.
3. The planks are not “clicked” to the right position, especially at the short side. Some installers worry that too much pressure will make
laminate flooring warps after installation, so some planks are not put in the right position. Just knock the relevant planks to right position to solve the problem.
