My Husband and I are installing a glueless laminate floor in our kitchen area and while watching the installation/care video they say not to get the floor wet or use soap/detergent on it. This baffles me, how are you supposed to clean this type of floor? If anyone has some advice on this, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi
Cleaning laminate flooring - Dust of coarse you just vacumn ,Any grease use a little kerosene and water
Water is the biggest enermy as it gets into the joints and causes them to swell and the edges to distort . Its the amount of water and how quick it drys off the surface thats important . MOPPING IS A NO NO !
The best floor care product i have found is a JUNKERS floor cleaner called "SILVA POLISH" . Its made for the Junkers wooden floor and works well , removes almost anything , leaves an beautiful finish , doesnt build up on the surface over time , has a nice smell and easy to use
Laying laminate flooring is my full time job and at the end of each installation this is what i use to clean the floor with to ge rid of any marks , Can be used to clean Lino or Vinyl flooring as well . MOST IMPORTANT KEEP IT AS DRY AS POSSABLE

I've seen this mentioned in the forum, but have been unable to find a source anywhere. Any ideas?

You can use mop to clean laminate flooring. Little amound of spill is no problem for
