I am installing a laminate floor in a bathroom and need to cut the laminate to fit around the base of the toilet and the basin pedestal. Is there any template gadgets that you can buy to help you create the required shapes. Alternatively, as anyone got any useful tips on doing this.
:?
Many Thanks

That is my advice! DO NOT install that Laminate in the bathroom unless it is approved for the bathroom and then follow the manufacturers recommendation to a T and even then I think you will be performing a redo not too far in the future! I would put down a ceramic tile or a linoleum before I would put down a Laminate. That is solely my opinion and I hope I did not offend or hurt. As far as templates there aren't any templates that are availible that I know of. You can make your own though out of cardboard and then trace the pattern onto the planks and cut that way. The toilet yeah that is kind of tough I wouldn't ever put something on top of laminate that is going to bolt throught the laminate so if you do make sure you leave and expansion gap around the flange bolts I would cut a U shape for the bolts make sure that the bottom of the U stay hidden under the stool and go from there. Good luck and I hope the flooring lasts for you in the bathroom. Sincerely ~ James Van Raden ~ Paragon Renovations ~ Moorhead, MN

You need hire a professional installer to do the work. Also for
laminate flooring
