hello

i recently bought some swiftlock premium laminate flooring from lowes.  i got the elegance oak color.  once i got ready to install this i opened the package and noticed something that i have never seen before.  the planks look normal with the exception that on the "short side" there is no way to join the two peices together.  the "female" end is cut and groved just like every other peice of laminate or wood flooring i have seen, but there is no "male" end or tap to lock these 2 planks together???  i was told at lowes that you just have to stagger the peices and the long locks will end up holding everything into place???  has anyone else every installed flooring like this or do you think it might be a manufacture error and i need to take it back.  if you have installed flooring like this did it hold up or did you have more movement than normal???  thanks for any info you might have on this.

Laminate flooring should lock easily at the short side. Most of the problems happen at the long side. You can take one box to the store and ask them to check it. Also you can professional installer to check it.
