Hello Everyone
I am very new to DIY (as a first time buyer), but am having real problems installing laminate flooring in my hallway.
The hallway is an L shape, with 2 doors against the longest side and 2 doors at either end of the longest side.
I have laid down felt underlay. The instructions said to work off the longest side, so I laid down a full strip and laid spacers down so the strip was straight. (poor illustration below). I then continued to lay the next row and the next working right to left. When I get 3/4 of the way across, the boards do not click together anymore as if a board is slightly out somewhere. I see no gaps in the boards.

I have taken the boards up 7 times and relaid them. I asked a neighbour and he advised that I put them in horizontal not vertical, as there is less likelihood for the boards to have any movement (as boards are shorter), but this does not look very nice as it's against the line of light.
Any help from an experienced head is appreciated. I am almost as the point of buying some carpert

Thanks
Bob
