This is my first time installing laminate floor and i need some advice on installing it and the layout.
So 1st, my wall is 144in x 132in.  Im laying it parallel to the 144in.  Each of my planks are 47.25in.  So i can layout a total of 3planks and that gives me only 2.25in left.  So how should i fit in the remainder of the 2.25?  Should i just cut off 2.25 from another board? cause i think thats kinda short..  So im thinking that i should cut off like 6in from the other side so i get more room.

and also, should i cut off the end tongues/grooves for each end?

The best way to lay the floor is to lay out the full boards in one row, you will have to cut the final board to fit the room if the room is not long as the board. make your measurement and then use the scrap from that last cut to start your next row that way you dont have to waste a board because you needed to make a cut, another suggestion would be to use scrap pieces that was cut in closets.
