I am about to install laminate flooring for the first time on a concrete floor in my basement.  There are places on the floor where the cement finishers left small bumps, about quarter size and some up to a quarter inch high.
Do I need to remove these before I lay the pad?
And if so, how?

YES IT IS BEST TO GET RID OF THEM . USE A CONCRETE GRINDER . LOTS OF DUST SO WEAR A MASK .
