I am an experienced fitter and have dealt with all the little tricks for each kind of laminate.

But, I'm half way through a 70m installation and it is taking me longer than anything I have ever laid!

I've watched the QS video and the guy effortlessly clicks the boards together. I've tried it like the video and I have tried everything I know and still have to tap every board many times to get all sides properly inserted. Short side seems ok...but hardly clicks very well....long side needs considerable brute strength to click together...definitely not like the video!

This can't be right. I'm suspecting this floor (from Floors 2 go) might be a factory second....anyone else had trouble with what should be the easiest of all laminates to lay.

Thanks

I've had the same problem your having with afew different brands of click laminates. The problem was high moisture content, making the tongue fit very tight.
It's a real pain in the neck.

Thanks. I got the job finished but, as you say, it was a real fight to the end.

Got a very similar job next week and am using my own recommended brand - Balterio- has never given me any problems...and I know it will go down a treat.
