Sealing Laminate flooring

I am putting laminate in my main bathroom. Do I need to put a sealer over the top once its installed to protect it form water? I have little children and they tend to get things VERY wet in the bathroom.

You shouldn't need to seal it, and would most likely void warranty if you used one unless manufac has one, which I've never seen. Just make sure no water is left standing on the floor for more than 30 min, hard to do in a kid's bathroom. Also make sure no water gets under the flooring to your subfloor, use a kithcen and bath caulk around the perimeter. Hope this helps

My own bathroom floor has been flooded 4 times with water getting under the boards each time and it is in still reasonable condition after 7 years .The kids are now grown now so its time to rip it out laminate flooring and do a replacement.
I was amassed at what it will stand and for how long .
Kronopol flooring are bringing a new product onto the market that is specially for bathrooms and wet areas , worth checking it out .

The seal mater should be done during production. I suppose the laminate flooring can't be waterproof if you seal yourself.
