Under lay cork or foam ?Good point cork tiled floors still need foam underlay to stop the planks from Flapping on the cork . Stuck down 6 mm Cork is a good sound insulator under the foam under the laminate flooring .

Cork perform better that foam on sounds reduction , 250 Gram Density is suitable. and foam often has PE moisture barrier which can protect laminate from sub-floor moisture

Usually cork is attached to the bak of lamniate flooring. Foam is used as moisture barrier to put on the subfloor. PVC foam also can be attached to
laminate flooring
. But definitely cork is better.

Cork is by far better than foam, you would definately want to consider a moisture barrier between the subfloor and the cork to keep the moisture down. A decent plastic underlay would be great for the moisture barrier, and the cork will be well protected and sound great.
