Anyone have any experiences (positive or negative) with this brnad, especially the newer 8.3 mm "crystal-lock" variety?  Thanks.

I installed Kronoswiss 'Prestige' in my office last year and simultaneously, the 'silent-step' (7mm) at home. i'm pretty happy with the results. have just been having it damp mopped ever 2 to 3 days and never gave any 'special care'. The texture is good and much better than the slippery marble floors. So far so good.   Smiley
Before Kornoswiss I had a chinese flooring brand installed at the office (can find it very cheap here), but the wear layer did'nt even last 9 months! and the gaps started to form in between. I'm in Karachi, Pakistan and the weather is hot and humid, sort of similar to Florida.

About the 8.3mm, I was told by the retailer that it had an additional sealent applied on the locks. no personal experience.

I installed the chyrstal click product in a rec room a little over two years ago.  Pertenant issues are three kids, and lots of friends, two large dogs, lots of dirt, and installed in a walkout basement over a crawl space.

The product is great, product support is good.  Wear service is very durable and cleans well.  My one regret is buying a high sheen  rather than a matte finish because it really highlights the dog hair, etc.  The one down side to this product is moisture.  The occassional spill or doggie accident, if not cleaned promptly ( something that 7 year olds and dogs tend not to do) will soak into the end seams and cause swelling.  If tended to and protected the seams go back down but it is an issue.

Installing, I did it myself, is a giant jigsaw puzzel, and you will be really good at it about the time you finish.  I would recommend creating seams at door ways or other logical places so you can actually go back an repair a damaged board.  Also, I used a laminate blade in a chop saw to cut.  It works great when new but quickly dulls against the plactic wear layer.  Do some homework on how the pros cut this stuff.

I put some Kronoswiss Fix it Savan Teak in my office, and it looks really good. I compared this product to many other brands of laminate flooring and I saw no real difference in the quality between many of them. The major difference was the price. I got my product for $.99/ square foot from a local company called Floormall.com. Can't beat the price, and the quality is really good! I am happy with is so far, and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for something inexpensive but with good quality. The guy at Floormall that helped me out was named James, I think. I checked their website out a second ago and noticed that they are still selling this product for less than a buck a square foot. Here is a link to the site: www.floormall.com.
